The Three Rivers Heritage Trail runs nearby the 31st Street Lofts along Allegheny River from Washington’s Landing, past PNC Park and Heinz Field, over and through Point State Park, or down the Ohio all the way to the historic Western Penitentiary and up the Mon River Valley through the Southside and back along the Eliza Furnace Trail. It encompasses over 24 miles with plans to add a section that will pass the 31st Street Lofts and run up into Lawrenceville. It also connects with the Great Allegheny Passage which takes you through the Laurel Highlands and provides a non-motorized trail all the way to Washington DC.
The Strip is a great place to walk and bike and many of our tenants take advantage of the flat and easy ride into downtown. A separated and protected bike only lane on Penn Ave runs from 6th to 16th Street making the commute from the Strip to downtown even safer.
A variety of Churches and other places of worship are also available nearby the 31st Street Lofts right in our neighborhood or just a short walk or ride away.
